Arena von Verona - Lyrical saison

In the afternoon peparture from Bibione on our luxury coach with tour guide to reach Verona at about 5.30 p.m.. Walking tour of the historical centre of the city, situated on the banks of Adige river. In addition to the famous monuments of the Roman, Medieval and Renaissance ages, Verona offers to the visitor an atmosphere inspired by the oldest cultural tradition. The most famous monumet of the Roman ages is the ARENA, built in the first century A.D.. Still today, in summertime international famous operas are performed here. After the walking tour free time for dinner (not included) and for the admittance in the Arena. Departure from Verona as soon as the opera ends and return to Bibione late in the night.

Evening attire is not required in the Arena.

Excursion along the river called "Stella"

From Lignano Sabbiadoro with the Motorboat “Nuova Saturno”

- Visit to the oasis of the W.W.F

- Stop at a fishing hut called “casone”

The lagoon of Marano Lagunare is geographically situated in the most north side of the entire Mediterranean Sea. Of the whole 9500 hectares, 1423 form today the nature reserve and oasis of Marano Lagunare. This wildlife park is protected by the W.W.F. since 1976 and its heart is located at the mouth of the “Stella” river. The excursion includes a stop at a typical “casone”. These unusual houses were handed on from father to son and today are one of the last examples in whole the national territory. Before your return it will be a moment of fun and happyness with the guitars of Adriano “da Geremia”. It’s an unforgettable excursion that it will leave in you the desire to come back…. Don’t miss it!

The historical lagoons and mashes of Bibione

Departure at 9.00 am from Porto Baseleghe in Bibione on the motor-boat “Fenice”, sailing through the canals and uncontaminated nature. You have chance to admire the house where E. Hemingway stayed during his hunting and fishing trips. Stop over at a traditional fisherman’s reed hut called “Casone” Arrival in Porto Baseleghe at 12.00 am .

Grado and the lagoon

From Lignano with the Motorboat “Europa”.

Afternoon from 2.00 pm to 7.00 pm tour of the Grado Lagoon – Stopover on Grado Island: fishing port and ancient Roman Center. The return trip is across the Grado Lagoon where one can enjoy the sight of many sandbanks, fishing valleys, “casoni” (typical huts where fishermen still live with their families) and various types of birdes.

Postojna caves and Predjama Castle

In the morning departure from Bibione by coach with tour guide towards the Italo-Slovenian border of Fernetti (along the free-way) and from here the journey goes on to Postojna for a visit with an official guide of the famous Caves (Entrance ticket not included), first of all you’ll try a typical open little train, after that you’ll walk through a large variety of illuminated caves, where you can admire plenty of stalagtites and an underground river. Free time for lunch (not included) and in the afternoon transfer to Predjama for the visit (entrance ticket not included) of the homonym castle, an inpregnable stronghold, built for the wish of the robber knight Erasmus, whose legend goes back to the further 1202. At the end of the visit departure for Bibione with arrival at about 6.30 p.m…

Marano Lagunare and the Shell Island

From Lignano with the Motorboat “Nuova Saturno”

Marano Lagunare: a characteristic fishing village, in ancient times a Venetian fortress. Unique stop over at the “Shell Island”.

Marano Lagunare is of Roman origin and reached the maximum splendour in ancient times with the patriarchals of Aquileia. From 1420 to 1797 the village was a Venetian fortress belonging to the Serenissima as it shows its architectural construction. Here you can admire the millenary bell tower, the beautiful main square, the narrow streets called “calli” and the church, built in 1753. Very interesting are also the fish-market and the fisherboats fleet, one of the biggest of the region. It’s a wonderful excursion made for the enjoyment of adults and children.

Triest and Castles (Miramare and Duino)

In the morning departure from Bibione by coach with tour guide to Triest, through Duino. Stop for a visit to the Castle (entrance not included). At the end, the journey goes on to Triest. Visit of the city centre and San Giusto’s Church. Free time for lunch (not included) and shopping. Later departure for the returntrip to Bibione. On the way back stop in Miramare for a walk in the Park or a visit of the castle with or without an official guide (not included in the price). Our arrival in Bibione will be at about 6.30 p.m.

Verona and lake Garda

One of our most beautiful excursions, which perfectly combines culture with the natural beauty of the landscape, from the splendid architectural masterpieces of Verona to the strikingly charming settings of Sirmione, green peninsula elongated towards the azure lake.

Departure by coach in the morning with arrival in Verona after about two and half hours. Leisurely walk around the historic city centre visiting the following points: Piazza Brà with the Arena, one of the largest roman amphitheatres still existing, Piazza delle Erbe, the elegant Piazza dei Signori with the Loggia, the Reggia degli Scala, the Medieval Palazzo del Comune and the gothic Arche Scaligere. This will be followed by a short visit of the medieval house of Juliet.

Departure from Verona and short transfer to Sirmione. Free time for lunch not included in the price. In Sirmione you can visit its most striking feature the moated castle, the Rocca Scaligera and walk along Sirmione’s narrow medieval streets which bustle with colour and life. The setting of the small town is beautiful; and was praised in earlier days by the Roman poet Catullus. At the very tip of the peninsula the extensive remains of a grand Roman villa (once believed to be Catullus’s villa).

Departure from Sirmione and return to Bibione by coach in time for dinner.
